Brandy - Still an Old Favourite at Carafe Wine

Carafe Wine founder Archie Cox says, ‘what is old… is new again’ haven’t you noticed and thank goodness.

This born and bred GC local has been bringing premium wines and Champagnes to venues for 13 years and his most recent addition to the list of luxurious liquids is brandy.

Archie has begun distilling his wines into brandy from the brand-new CW Winery in Southport. The CW Winery is a city style winery featuring wine blending , and champagne classes. ‘We believe in education and it’s incredibly important in the wine industry as we quash the myths around tap wine in an effort to promote zero-waste. We want to share knowledge and ensure a positive impact can be made for all conscious consumers of wine and also our brandy,’ said Archie. 

Carafe Wines has been pouring premium wines on tap throughout the GC and has now added the Star Casino’s Garden Bar and Cucina Vivo pouring their latest viticulture -San Giovese - an Italian light red wine for sipping during long lunch afternoons. 

The iconic ex. owner of the playroom says, ‘We seem to be finding our way back to the glorious history of food and wine. The classic foundations of elegance and authenticity. We are a blend of conscious living, making a positive environmental impact yet bringing traditional values to our hometown’.
